Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

I was listening to the radio, and the DJs were talking about a couple in Canada who were letting their kids choose their own gender. They're not telling anyone what genders they were born into, so no one knows. The DJs got upset and said it was "wrong" and that the kids would have a hard life because of their parents. Okay, unless the kids are having a gender crisis, the world won't have to worry, because they'll stay the "right gender," right? Anyway, do you think this is a bad idea or a good idea. I think it's pretty cool.
